Home from college for the weekend and decided to stop by the shop. Here are the cool things we have right now.
Clean 4runner. Usually these and the ground are one by now.
Not more then surface rust. Impressive.
New body style GS350 AWD in for service. I love these.
I really like the yellow and the red badge is fun. Body seems to be in good shape too.
Oh a Subaru hipster edition
Total hipster Subaru
Wait.. whaat??? Well that was unexpected.
Gibbs found a place to sleep even.

So why is the 4runner in the shop? Owner doesn’t do hiw own oil changes? Alignment? Tires? No way it’s an actual repair.

All 2nd gen 4Runners should have rear tire carriers.

It’s a real nice look. Don’t see a ton of 2nd gens unfortunately. I’m still egging for a 1st gen. The removable roof is awesome.

where is your shop? that yellow FJ60 looks familiar

Brake line ruptured, master cylinder gave out due to the stress of the repair, and battery needed replaced. 26 years some things are bound to break.

Nashville but we get customers from all over.

Yeh. I have a first gen. I really wish I lived in closer proximity for you guys to work on it. It needs some dedicated Toyota love.

Where are you at?

I’ve always loved N130s with spare tire holders on the back.

Coastal South Carolina.

It’s fun when the master cylinder fails.

Yeah this just happened on my LS. When cars get old, fixing them can mean more work. Anything that happens to the brakes can cause the master cylinder to go kaput.

Just move to Tennessee. It’s nice over here.

This is a California car too. Basically the perfect N130.

Yeah apparently it ended up in Tennessee! Small world.

i would have thought that hipster outback was local too. those damn things are everywhere.

Subaru wagons are only common among hipsters around here. I see a ton in Knoxville(hipster city) and Chattanooga(also hipster city) but only in certain parts of Nashville(the hipster ones). It’s not like Colorado or up north with everyone buying them.

I don't think I've ever even driven through Tennessee. But I would if the opportunity arose. How far are you from, say, Asheville, NC?
![]() 09/16/2016 at 15:57 |

Asheville is 2 hours from Knoxville(where I reside for school) and then it’s 2 and a half hours from South Nashville(where my house is)
